Classification of stem cells

How does ataxia affect the patient?The disease is characterized by progressively disabling clinical manifestations. Patients show symptoms of gait instability or dysarthria and may begin to fall without warning. Currently, Alzheimers disease has no cure. Medications are used to temporarily alleviate the symptoms by improving the ability to manage regular activities or enhancing memory. Most of these medications are cholinesterase inhibitors and they are used to prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine (a natural substance in the brain), which carries the signals between the neurons.

We are incredibly excited to be welcoming two greatly esteemed individuals into our network, said Benito Novas, Founder and Owner of Stem Cell Center. These are two individuals who, combined, bring more than 6-decades of immersive training and experience in medical fields, specifically regenerative medicine. We are incredibly excited to be working with them as our medical directors.

Dr. Mahmood received his Bachelors Degree from the Baghdad College of Medicine in 1988. From there, he pursued a post-graduate degree in medicine at the University of Baghdad, and went to work as an Iraqi commissioner for medical specializations, as well as a professor for the German Hear Center. In 2010, he returned to Iraq and established his private center, which is still in operation today.

Professor Sefiani completed his primary education at Guessous in 1979. From there, he pursued a scientific Bachelors Degree, and became a medical faculty member at Rabat. Today, he is an esteemed professor of cardiovascular education, and he brings with him close to 4-decades of education experience.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body - most often by inserting thin needles through the skin. It is one of the most effective practices used in traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture stimulates nerve fibers to transmit signals to the spinal cord and brain, activating the bodys central nervous system. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen at a level higher than atmospheric pressure. The equipment required consists of pressure chamber, which may be of rigid or flexible construction, and a means of delivering 100% oxygen into the respiratory system. Published research shows that HBOT increases the lifespan of stem cells after injection and provides an oxygen-rich atmosphere for the body to function at optimum levels.

Nerve Growth Factor (NGF)

Nerve growth factor (NGF) is a member of the neurotrophic factor (neurotrophin, NTFS) family, which can prevent the death of nerve cells and has many features of typical neurotransmitter molecules. NGF plays an important role in the development and growth of nerve cells. NGF is synthesized and secreted by tissues (corneal epithelial, endothelial, and corneal stromal cells), and it can be up-taken by sympathetic or sensory nerve endings and then transported to be stored in neuronal cell bodies where it can promote the growth and differentiation of nerve cells.NGF can exert neurotrophic effects on injured nerves and promote neurogenesis (the process of generating neurons from stem cells) that is closely related to the development and functional maintenance and repair of the central nervous system. It is also capable of promoting the regeneration of injured neurons in the peripheral nervous system, improving the pathology of neurons and protecting the nerves against hypoxia (lack of oxygen)/ischemia (lack of blood supply).

We combine our PT with stem cells for maximum physical rehabilitation improvements.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Research has shown that TMS can effectively treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, neurological pain, stroke, spinal cord injuries, autism and more. This procedure is very simple and noninvasive. During the procedure, a magnetic field generator or coil is placed near the head of the person receiving the treatment. The coil produces small electrical currents in the region of the brain just under the coil via electromagnetic induction. This electrical field causes a change in the transmembrane current of the neuron which leads to depolarization or hyperpolarization of the neuron and the firing of an action potential.

This opposition to hES cell research had long been one of his most noted principles throughout his period in office, with the President viewing such research as a means of utilising life for convenience (see above); and serves to emphasise the level of importance now attached to the stem cell research debate.

Having examined the arguments put forth by those in favour of stem cell research (link to arguments in favour of STR), what are the arguments stated by its opponents?

Many opponents of hES cell research state this issue to be the basis of their belief that such use of embryos should not be allowed under any circumstances. To them, the issue of potentiality creates the following problem with regards to hES:

Adult stem cells are multipotent because they can develop into several different types of cells, but not as many as embryonic stem cells.

Embryonic stem cells are pluripotent, which means they can differentiate into nearly all cells. Embryonic stem cells also have an unlimited ability to self-renew.
