Best Stem Cell Skincare By Jeunesse

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015

Do you suffer from premature aging, fine lines, wrinkles, crow feet or skin allergies? Or are you plagued by acne and have tried all kinds of facial creams to no avail?

The No. 1 principle in keeping your skin healthy and young is to do no harm to your skin. Smoking and over exposure to the sun are 2 major culprits in causing premature aging. Do you know that your skin is the largest organ in your body and therefore very susceptible to absorbing toxins into our body which ultimately affects how we look? If you dont observe this principle, the best anti aging serum or facial cream in the world will not produce the optimal result you desire.

There is a bewildering array of skin care products to choose from: Organic skin care products, herbal skin care products, bio skin care products to sheep stem cell skincare, etc. There is an equally bewildering array of skin care brands to choose from: Elizabeth Arden, SK-II, Kiehls, Origins, Philosophy, etc. Which one is suitable for you? Or does it really work? Or what worked for you 5 years ago, may not work for you today. What worked for you as a teenager may not work for you as a middle aged adult. What worked for you when you lived in a tropical country like Singapore or Malaysia may not work for you when you relocate to a city like Beijing or Chicago with its harsh winter climate.

The best skin care product is the one that works for you in all climates whether you live in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Australia or the US. It should also work for you regardless of your age or your race.If you are looking for an anti aging serum to rejuvenate your skin, or a facial cream to repair your damaged skin, you should consider the Jeunesse Luminesce skin care products manufactured by Jeunesse Global.

Jeunesse is a French word for youth. Jeunesse Luminesce skin care range of products is entirely based on stem cell technology. Stem cell technology is the latest in cutting edge technology in health science. The scientist behind the Jeunesse Luminesce skincare range is Dr. Nathan Newman, a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon who also pioneered Stem Cell Lift cutting edge cosmetic surgery, without cutting. Dr. Nathan Newman is able to tap his pioneering work experience in the Stem Cell Lift procedure and produce a unique stem cell technology based skincare which enables thousands and thousands of women and men(yes, men) to experience skin rejuvenation without resorting to expensive botox injections. Anti-aging has never been less expensive. The philosophy behind Jeunesse Luminesce skin care products is simple: it must work, it must be safe and it must be based on proven cutting edge health science(stem cell technology).

The potential of stem cell technology is immense. It holds the promise that one day it will change the world, but today, it will change your skins.

Unfortunately a lot of the skin care products out in the market are based on voodoo science. Some products work quite fast but are extremely toxic to the body causing long term damage to your vital organs. If you are using any skin care products which contain harmful chemicals, please stop immediately. It is recommended that you go on a detoxification program to remove the toxins from your body. Start using Jeunesse Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation Serum and see the difference yourself.

When you update your Facebook photo, dont be surprised if your friends ask you if you had a facelift.

Benefits and Controversy Over Embryonic Stem Cell Research

Friday, May 29th, 2015

The use of embryonic stem cells has been highly-publicized and is controversial. Most of the current methods used to harvest embryonic stem cells destroy the embryo. Embryonic stem cells are pluripotent stem cells that differentiate into all of the specific cell types that make up the human body. Adult stem cells, or multipotent stem cells, refers to those found throughout the human body, which are part of the natural healing process throughout your life. Stem cells adult and embryonic have two unique properties: (1) they replicate to create many more stem cells, and; (2) they can grow into different types of cells throughout the body liver, muscle, bone, nerve, etc. In fact, certain types of adult stem cells will replicate for several months outside of the body in the laboratory, creating more stem cells that are used in medical treatments.

Embryonic stem cell research contributes significantly to the scientific understanding of adult stem cells; knowledge that is now being used to research new medical treatments utilizing harvested adult stem cells.

An important factor in adult stem cell medical treatments is the value of using the patients own stem cells in order to create the most effective medical treatments that will not be rejected by the body's immune system. New treatments using adult stem cells, such as those found in teeth and bone marrow, are the focus of countless medical research studies around the world.

After twenty years of research, there are no approved treatments or successful human trials utilizing embryonic stem cells. Their tendency to produce teratomas and malignant carcinomas, cause transplant rejection and form random undirected types of cells are just a few of the hurdles that embryonic stem cell researchers still face. Many nations currently have governmentally-imposed restrictions on either embryonic stem cell research or the production of new embryonic stem cell lines. Because of their combined abilities of unlimited expansion and pluripotency, embryonic stem cells remain a theoretically potential source for regenerative medicine and tissue replacement after injury or disease.

Stem Cell Therapy for CMT Stem Cells CMT

Thursday, May 28th, 2015

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), known also as Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy (HMSN), Hereditary Sensorimotor Neuropathy (HSMN), or Peroneal Muscular Atrophy, is a heterogeneous inherited disorder of nerves (neuropathy) that is characterized by loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation, predominantly in the feet and legs but also in the hands and arms in the advanced stages of disease. Presently incurable, this disease is one of the most common inherited neurological disorders, with 37 in 100,000 affected.[1]

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is caused by mutations that cause defects in neuronal proteins. Nerve signals are conducted by an axon with a myelin sheath wrapped around it. Most mutations in CMT affect the myelin sheath. Some affect the axon.

The most common cause of CMT (70-80% of the cases) is the duplication of a large region in chromosome 17p12 that includes the gene PMP22 . Some mutations affect the gene MFN2, which codes for a mitochondrial protein. Cells contain separate sets of genes in their nucleus and in their mitochondria. In nerve cells, the mitochondria travel down the long axons. In some forms of CMT, mutated MFN2 causes the mitochondria to form large clusters, or clots, which are unable to travel down the axon towards the synapses . This prevents the synapses from functioning.[2] CMT is divided into the primary demyelinating neuropathies (CMT1, CMT3, and CMT4) and the primary axonal neuropathies (CMT2), with frequent overlap.

Another cell involved in CMT is the Schwann cell, which creates the myelin sheath, by wrapping its plasma membrane around the axon in a structure that is sometimes compared to a.[3]

Neurons, Schwann cells, and fibroblasts work together to create a working nerve. Schwann cells and neurons exchange molecular signals that regulate survival and differentiation. These signals are disrupted in CMT. [3]

Demyelinating Schwann cells causes abnormal axon structure and function. They may cause axon degeneration. Or they may simply cause axons to malfunction.[1] The myelin sheath allows nerve cells to conduct signals faster. When the myelin sheath is damaged, nerve signals are slower, and this can be measured by a common neurological test, electromyography. When the axon is damaged, on the other hand, this results in a reduced compound muscle action potential (CMAP).[4]

Stem Cells

A growing body of evidence suggests strongly that the use of stem cells to address the primary componants of both inflammation and demylination has a direct effect on this disease. Much of the research, that also applies, has focused on Multiple Sclerosis another demylinationg disease with a larger incidence world wide. There is a growing body of literature supporting the contention that with stem cell therapy Schwann cells and other componants of the immune system, that adversely affect CMT patients, can be influenced to reverse their typical progressive dysfunction.

Our patients have now documented significant changes in multiple areas of function. Most notable has been in their ability to walk, maintain balance and have more consistent and higher levels of energy. These changes allow for a substantial quality of life changing affair.Interestingly we have seen progressive improvements over the period of a year post treatment. Only time will determine the nature of how much change can take place. It should be understood that currently all the CMT patients are seniors. We expect that with earlier treatment even better results can be achieved.

Cloning and Stem Cell Research | Medical Travel Company …

Tuesday, May 26th, 2015

Over the last several decades, the ideas of both stem cell research and cloning have received significantly more attention than ever before. Along with that attention has also come a great deal of controversy. With so many new advances in medical technology, these new resources have provided scientists and doctors with a new, unlocked door of potential to help people suffering from various diseases as well as to help them recover from certain serious injuries. It is important for people to understand both the cloning and stem cell use process so that they can be better educated about its many pros and cons in the scientific world.

Stem Cells

A stem cell is a cell that is found in any organism that is multicellular. In essence, just about every living thing contains stem cells including plant life. These types of cells can be divided and then regenerated in order to create more cells, which can be fused together. In humans, stem cells can be obtained from a number of different sources including bone marrow, fat cells (lipids), and blood. Stem cells from blood can be extracted through a process that filters them out. Stem cells from humans can also be obtained from the blood of a mothers umbilical cord after the baby is born. There are many medical benefits to using stem cells in a wide variety of applications.

Cloning

Scientific cloning was first begun in Germany by a scientist named Hans Spemann in 1935. Cloning can also occur naturally. The process of cloning occurs when a living organism reproduces itself asexually, or through the absence of sexual acts. Scientists are discovering ways to clone DNA through laboratory measures as well. This term is referred to as a somatic cell nuclear transplant. Some living organisms such as certain species of insects and plants already clone themselves naturally, but the scientific use of cloning other organisms is also being explored. The term reproductive cloning refers to the act of cloning in which the scientist allows the cells to continue to live. Therapeutic cloning refers to when scientists kill the clone in order to harvest the stem cells for other use.

Stem Cell Research and Cloning

The process of both cloning and stem cell research has provided medical doctors with new hope for those suffering from injuries and other medical issues. Bone marrow transplants can be done with ease through the use of stem cells. People suffering from spinal cord injuries have also been known to benefit from the use of stem cells in order to help them re-grow the spine. It has also been known to help people with eye problems such as macular degeneration. Cloning allows researchers to create new cells and then extract the stem cells from them, without harming any living organisms. While most people envision cloning as a mad scientist process used to create carbon copies of another animal or person, in the scientific world, it is typically done on a much smaller level, and using only small cells. Extracting these stem cells from the cloned cell allows the scientists to produce more stem cells, which can then in turn be used in a number of different surgical procedures.

Ethics of Cloning and Stem Cell Research

There have been many disputes over the ethics of both cloning and stem cell research. Some claim that scientists are playing God by using cloning in their research. Because many stem cells are harvested from umbilical blood, certain groups feel that this is unethical and harmful to the value of life. There have also been instances where scientists harvested stem cells from aborted babies, which is considered by many to be unethical. In addition, some religions feel that both cloning and the use of stem cells are unnatural, and therefore are not in agreement with the natural order. Proponents of cloning and stem cell research feel that it is a new and effective advancement in the ability to cure a number of diseases and injuries.

Americans Heading to Costa Rica For Stem Cell Treatments

Thursday, May 21st, 2015

Americans are herding to Costa Rica for stem cell treatments

The stories are starting to come in the man with the heart attack, now with a stem cell transplant, his glands can now generate insulin. The Florida parents of 7-year-old, who has autism, are taking him to Costa Rica at the end of this month for adult stem cell treatments.

Success stories have grabbed international media attention, with cable and TV networks jumping on the bandwagon by running stories like Paralyzed valley woman holds hope in Costa Rica treatment and Glenburn boy returns from Costa Rica after having adult stem cell therapy.

Adding to the hype of stem cell treatment, back in March, 2009 US President Barack Obama issued an executive order that lifted Bush-era restrictions on federal funding for stem cell research, but much of the treatment is still a long way off, experts say. With all this media attention, and America still in the Black Ages, the list of Americans seeking stem cell treatment in Costa Rica has tripled in the last year.

But the media and presidential endorsement of treatments (well at lease to a point) has made doctors in the U.S. nervous for the obvious reasons.

Its common knowledge that overall Costa Ricas medical tourism and the use of their wellness centers has doubled and tripled. Now the number of foreigners seeking and undergoing stem cell treatment in Costa Rica for ailments from bone fractures to multiple sclerosis has doubled. Costa Rican doctors say they are providing these medical tourists with groundbreaking treatments.

But I would not jump on the next plane to Costa Rica, stem cell scientists in the U.S. accuse Costa Rica of offering false hope by pushing techniques that have not been scientifically proven.

But it has not stopped Costa Rican legislators because they are putting the finishing touches on a law to promote and regulate adult stem cell research and treatment across a spectrum of diseases. Obviously, this could fuel further debate over techniques that U.S. doctors say have only produced anecdotal success but it certainly has not stop the flow of stem cell medical tourism.

Americans already make up close to 90 percent of the stem cell patients at CIMA Hospital. Dr. Fabio Solano who directs the stem cell institute at San Joses CIMA Hospital, one of the countrys leading private hospitals says his team has treated as many as 400 patients with procedures that involve stem cells.

However in Costa Rica, Catholicism is the state religion, working with human embryos is out of the question. So there is contentious debate around stem cells by prohibiting work with human embryos and instead promoting research on whats known as adult stem cells derived from tissue including body fat and umbilical blood or tissue.

StemSave stem cell banking offers you and your family a unique stem cell recovery and cryopreservation service, in the event of future injury or disease.

Stem cells are unique because they drive the natural healing process throughout your life. Stem cells are different from other cells in the body because they regenerate and produce specialized cell types. They heal and restore skin, bones, cartilage, muscles, nerves and other tissues when injured. There are two main types of stem cells: adult stem cells, such as those found in bone marrow and teeth (see Stem Cells in Teeth),and embryonic stem cells (see Other Stem Cells).

Today, medical researchers are learning how to control stem cells and direct their growth into specialized cells, including: blood, skin, bone, cartilage, teeth, muscle and nerves.

As a result, amazing new medical treatments are being developed to treat a range of diseases contemporary medicine currently deems difficult or impossible to treat. Among them are:

Enriched Hematopoietic Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapies

Tuesday, May 19th, 2015

Hi,

You will recall that my wife, Lizzie, and I came to you in January 2013 for treatment to my knees.

Ive been meaning to write to you for some time to update you on progress with my knees. I can honestly say that I believe the procedure was a success. Obviously, Im not back to the marathon running I did when I was a teenager, but my knees are much improved. Previously, they would swell up every one or two years, and I would have to go for an arthroscopy. Since coming to you 18 months ago, I have had very little trouble. Any slight swelling after vigorous exercise disappears within a day or so, and I am able to undertake quite strenuous walks without any problem. For example, yesterday I walked about 10 kilometres up a mountain and down the other side very hard climbing and today I have no ill-effects at all.

So I am delighted with the results, and would gladly recommend you to anyone considering stem cell therapy.

Best wishes,

Tony Bayliss UK

Using Stem Cells in Teeth for Future Use in Developing …

Tuesday, May 19th, 2015

The tooth is nature's 'safe' for your family's unique stem cells

While stem cells can be found in most tissues of the body, they are usually buried deep, are few in number and are similar in appearance to surrounding cells. With the discovery of stem cells in teeth, an accessible and available source of stem cells has been identified.

The tooth is nature's "safe" for these valuable stem cells, and there is an abundance of these cells in baby teeth, wisdom teeth and permanent teeth - Tooth Eligibility Criteria. The stem cells contained within teeth are capable of replicating themselves and can be readily recovered at the time of a planned dental procedure.

Living stem cells found within extracted teeth were routinely discarded every day, but now, with the knowledge from recent medical research, StemSave gives you the opportunity to save these cells for future use in developing medical treatments for your family.

Aside from being the most convenient stem cells to access, dental stem cells have significant medical benefits in the development of new medical therapies. Using one's own stem cells for medical treatment means a much lower risk of rejection by the body and decreases the need for powerful drugs that weaken the immune system, both of which are negative but typical realities that come into play when tissues or cells from a donor are used to treat patients.

Further, the stem cells from teeth have been observed in research studies to be among the most powerful stem cells in the human body. Stem cells from teeth replicate at a faster rate and for a longer period of time than do stem cells harvested from other tissues of the body.

Stem cells in the human body age over time and their regenerative abilities slow down later in life. The earlier in life that your family's stem cells are secured, the more valuable they will be when they are needed most.

Big News For Big Loser Wannabes: Health Travel Technologies Offers Free Live Medical Webcast on New Minimally Invasive …

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Good news for millions of overweight Americans resolving to lose weight in 2012: the new gastric plication restrictive bariatric procedure features greater weight loss than banding and is device free, and Health Travel Technologies is sponsoring a free medical webcast for patients to learn all about it.

San Francisco CA (PRWEB) February 05, 2012

Will the gastric pleat beat the gastric band for restrictive weight loss surgery results? That's a topic on the agenda for the Health Travel Technologies live medical webcast on Friday February 10th at 12:00p PST.

The webcast is free for patients interested in learning information about the latest minimally invasive bariatric procedure to treat obesity, the gastric plication.

According to Health Travel Technologies director of patient information services Debbie Natsch, the gastric plication webcast series was developed with the input of the world’s leading obesity surgical team, including gastroenterologist surgeons, physician nutritionists, hospital administrators and bariatric nurses.

Natsch said the webcast provides participants with detailed information about the weight loss procedure, including a review of existing patient data from various clinical studies, as well as an opportunity to have questions answered by the medical team.

“In the past nine months we’ve had more than 1400 participants in our webcast series,” said Natsch. “It’s a great way for patients to learn about the specifics of a surgical procedure: everything from how the surgeon determines eligibility, to expectations for weight loss and life style changes after the procedure.”

“The gastric plication webcast is also a great way for participants to learn how the medical exchange system works; most patients are not intimately familiar with the very high level of quality and services accessible through medical exchange programs.”

The word “plication” means “to pleat” which describes the method of stomach restriction. The gastric plication involves a specialized suturing technique to restrict stomach capacity without the need for resection, implanted devices or surgical stapling.

The gastric plication weight loss surgery is performed laparoscopically, with patients hospitalized for 24-48 hours.

The gastric plication webcast is part of the weekly Patient Education Series sponsored by Health Travel Technologies, a Silicon Valley-based health information technology company specializing in cloud-based global patient referral and management applications.

According to Natsch, many surgeons find the gastric plication notable for its expected lower risk of complication compared to the more invasive gastric bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy procedures, while demonstrating similar weight loss outcomes.

“We’ve had a strong response to the gastric plication program,” shared Case Director Marci Mauro. “We have a robust roster of happy patients who demonstrating excellent weight loss and remission of many obesity complications, including type 2 diabetes,” said Mauro.

According to statistics published by the American Diabetes Association, 26 million Americans are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, with another 79 million classified as “pre-diabetic”. Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the US and is linked to an increased likelihood of kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, and cancer diagnosis and death.

Type 2 diabetes has also been linked to lower lifetime income and professional opportunities.

“One of our own bariatric medical exchange Case Managers has had weight loss surgery with a Health Travel Technologies obesity surgical team, led by one of the world’s leading gastroenterologist surgical teams. We know first-hand that the gastric plication medical travel program is first-rate,” said Mauro.

About Medical Exchange International Health Care

“The American health care system is broken,” Health Travel Technologies CEO Herb Stephens points out. “Health insurance premiums and out-of-pocket costs have skyrocketed, often forcing people to defer necessary medical treatments, or hold fundraisers just to afford them.

Health Travel Technologies offers Americans – form the uninsured to t the underinsured to self-insured employers - a chance to easily access affordable health care for both essential and elective procedure with some of the best medical providers in the world,” said Stephens. “Usually at a savings rate of fifty percent or more.”

The practice of global patient medical exchange (also called medical travel, medical tourism and health travel) has become increasingly common as US health insurance costs continue to outstrip growth in workers’ wages.

The benefits of medical travel are being sought by self-insured US employers seeking to reduce the cost of employee health care benefits. A study by the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that the annual premium for family coverage through an employer increased 9% last year to $15,073.

“Health care really is a global market place now,” said Stephens. “It’s a great opportunity for Americans to make their medical dollar stretch farther, especially in a weak US economy with high employment uncertainty.”

Health Travel Technologies Signs Patient Referral and Management Licensing Partnership with Orbicare Latin American …

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Orbicare signs with the Health Travel Technologies global patient referral application to enable millions of patients access to the best, most affordable medical care throughout Latin America and Europe.

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Few would argue that the US health care system is sick, and physician-founded Orbicare of Miami is betting that Silicon Valley's Health Travel Technologies (HTT) has the cure with its global patient referral application.

The partnership between Orbicare and Health Travel Technologies connects US patients with international doctors like never before, saving thousands on the cost of necessary and cosmetic medical, dental and surgical care.

HTT is the creator of Inpatra™, the world’s most comprehensive global patient referral and management application. HTT has signed a licensing agreement with Orbicare, a leader in international patient referral, to host its comprehensive portfolio of medical services.

The partnership will provide English- and Spanish-speaking US patients and employers with high quality health care alternatives across Latin America and Europe, including medical and dental travel programs in Argentina, Costa Rica, Panama, Spain and Turkey.

“HTT helps international health care networks work directly with US patients and employers to provide much needed access to affordable health care” said Health Travel Technologies CEO Herb Stephens.

“In addition to high quality, high value medical care, an added bonus for American patients and employers is the proximity and safety of the Orbicare health care network,” said Stephens.

“Orbicare searched for the right partner for more than a year,” says Teresa Arenas, Chief Operations Officer for Orbicare. “We chose HTT for its comprehensive technology, unmatched experience and dedicated people.

“The Inpatra™ international patient referral and management application provides Orbicare with the hosted business processes we need, so that we can focus our resources on our strengths: providing personalized, quality medical services to US patients and employer benefits plans, especially during this time of rapid expansion.”

HTT is the largest technology and services company in the health information technology space, processing more than 1 million international travelers representing more than $500 million in financial transactions per year, with health travel representing double digit year-over-year growth.

About Orbicare

The regional Orbicare provider network features state-of-the-art medical centers and board-certified specialists in Panama, Spain, Argentina, Turkey, Costa Rica, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic and Colombia.

Physician-founded, Orbicare is distinguished among medical services providers by its expert management team of doctors, employer benefits specialists, and hospital administrators.

Orbicare’s member hospitals provide comprehensive medical care including bariatric and metabolic surgery, dental and orthodontic surgery, oncology, orthopedic and sports medicine, addiction treatment, cosmetic plastic surgery, cardiovascular intervention, and adult stem cell treatment for chronic disease.

Orbicare provides full-service medical benefits programs to individual patients as well as self-ensured employers.

About Medical Travel

The practice of medical travel, or medical tourism, continues to garner considerable attention as a growing number of U.S. employers, consumers and other stakeholders explore cost effective health care options for their organizations.

Experts currently estimate the size of the medical tourism market to reach $100 Billion by 2012. According to HTT CEO Herb Stephens, this increased volume creates a significant issue for international health care providers servicing an international patient base.

A MarketWatch-published Brief by the non-profit National Business Group Health (NGBH) underscores the need for an infrastructure to accommodate the anticipated growth in health travel.

The NGBH identifies innovative and forward-thinking solutions to health care and benefit issues facing large employers, a group that is rapidly adopting medical travel as a key cost-saving solution to growing health care coverage costs.

“The superb level of health care in Orbicare’s provider network throughout Latin America is indisputable," said Stephens. "The question now is how increasing patient volumes can be effectively managed while maintaining high quality service, and keeping the doctor and patient relationship at the center of it all."

About Health Travel Technologies

A technology and services company, HTT operates and licenses the award-winning Inpatra™ platform specifically developed to handle the many demands of health travel – from patient referral through post-op patient follow-up.

”We enable hospitals, physician networks and facilitators like Orbicare to create high-touch, high-efficiency patient management operations,” said HTT Chief Technology Officer Alex Marxer. “Our award-winning patient referral and management application connects the world’s patients and doctors like never before.”

Founded in 2006, and headquartered in San Francisco, California, with operations in San Diego California, Health Travel Technologies, a subsidiary of Health Travel Guides, is a privately held company.

Health Travel Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality care abroad to people who are unable to afford health care procedures or services.
